Public Procurement Specialties (PPS)

OPBA’s Public Procurement Specialties (PPS) courses are designed for professionals who want to deepen their knowledge beyond the foundational Principles Program. These specialized courses offer practical insights and advanced skills to help you excel in your public procurement career.

Current PPS Course Offerings:

• Supplier Performance – Learn how to assess supplier performance trends over time, provide constructive feedback, and support continuous improvement.

• RFPs – A Step-by-Step Guide for Public Procurement Professionals – Gain an in-depth understanding of the RFP process, including policies and procedures, templates, methodology, communications with proponents, compliance, pricing evaluation, contract assembly, and more.

• Advanced Construction – Build on the Principles course Introduction to Procurement for Construction. This course is ideal for public sector procurement professionals involved in developing and managing large or complex construction projects.

• CPPB Exam Prep – Two full-day sessions designed for those preparing to write the Certified Professional Public Buyer (CPPB) exam administered by the Universal Public Procurement Certification Council (UPPCC).
